Whenever there are two major promotions at the top of the wrestling world, dream matches are at the forefront of the minds of fans. It happened when WWE went up against the likes of WCW and TNA in the past. These days, their biggest competition is All Elite Wrestling and there are again a ton of dream matches available.

That's especially true when it comes to the tag team divisions. AEW prides itself on being strong in that department and while it's not as important in WWE, they still manage to have a slew of impressive tandems worth seeing in incredible matches.
10 Jurassic Express vs. The Viking Raiders
On paper, this one might seem a bit odd but it actually works out well. Jurassic Express has a fantastic big man in Luchasaurus and an ultimate underdog in Jungle Boy. Meanwhile, both members of the Viking Raiders are brutes.
What makes this a combination that works so well is that Ivar and Luchasaurus are ideal matchups for one another. They're both big dudes who have surprising athleticism. Jungle Boy is the odd man out of sorts but he feels like the perfect guy to take a beating and then let Luchasaurus come in with the hot tag.
9 John Morrison & The Miz vs. SCU
Since they've come back to WWE in 2020, the John Morrison and The Miz pairing hasn't been as entertaining as in their original run. Despite that, they still fit the bill as an entertaining veteran duo. That sounds a lot like SCU, consisting of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian.
These are veteran teams who would do everything they can to put on a quality match even if their styles don't entirely mix. Plus, the segments and promos leading up to the bout would probably be worth the money even if the match itself fails.
8 The Hurt Business vs. Team Taz
Two of the best stables in either company right now are The Hurt Business and Team Taz. MVP has helped revitalize the careers of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. The latter two have formed a solid team of a veteran and a young gun.
Team Taz operates a bit differently but the duo of Brian Cage and Ricky Starks has proven to be fantastic. These teams match up well since Starks and Alexander would have breathtaking exchanges as opponents. Meanwhile, Benjamin might not be a powerhouse the size of Cage but he's still the strong member of his team and would do well against him.
7 The Lucha Bros vs. The Mysterios
Technically, Dominik and Rey Mysterio aren't really an official team. The father/son duo have partnered up a handful of times but nothing more. However, they make a perfect set of opponents to do battle with The Lucha Bros.

In terms of storyline, there's a built-in angle regarding family. A father and son taking on a pair of brothers doesn't happen often in wrestling. Then, there's the fact that Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fénix are ideal opponents for the lucha duo of Dominik and Rey Mysterio. The action would be jaw-dropping in this encounter.
6 The Butcher & The Blade vs. Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan
Some of these matches sound good because it's two athletic duos, some are good due to technical skills, and some are character-driven tandems. This is quite different, though. This would just be a match where two teams beat the hell out of each other.
The Butcher and the Blade are a throwback team that likes to give out beatings as often as possible. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan pride themselves on putting on hard-hitting clashes. Together, this would be an absolute war that would honestly probably hurt just to watch.
5 Private Party vs. Street Profits
Right off the bat, these two teams line up due to their character work and personalities. Private Party are all about having fun and the Street Profits and their solo cups would be invited to any event thrown by the AEW team. In the ring, they match up pretty well too.
The difference-maker here would be Angelo Dawkins. Both members of Private Party have similar in-ring styles and Montez Ford also uses athleticism, quickness, and high flying offense. However, Dawkins is more of a powerhouse who could run over his opponents.
4 FTR vs. Imperium
It's hard to really come up with many WWE dream matches for FTR. The former Revival spent years with the promotion, putting on some of the best tag team matches in all of wrestling. They've faced nearly every top team that is currently on the WWE roster.

One of the few they never got to meet was Imperium. That's a shame since they match up well given FTR's love of tag teams from the past and Imperium's desire to keep the ring sacred. Together, they'd put on a clinic that would pay homage to the greatest tag matches in history.
3 Best Friends vs. The New Day
It would be really difficult for fans to pick a favorite in this meeting. Best Friends and New Day are arguably the two most likable teams in all of wrestling today. The love Chuck and Trent have for one another is right up there with how the members of New Day feel about each other.
As a match itself, this would turn out to be very good. There are so many enjoyable spots to think about. Big E gyrating in front of Orange Cassidy, the possibility of Xavier Woods being trapped in the middle of a Best Friend hug, and the list goes on.
2 Santana & Ortiz vs. The Undisputed Era
Although Adam Cole recently orchestrated the breakup of The Undisputed Era, nothing has been said about how Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish feel about each other. The two were an incredible team before coming to WWE and Fish has been on the sidelines for a while now. They're still fantastic together.
Opposing them would be Santana and Ortiz, formerly known as LAX in Impact Wrestling. They haven't had a major push in AEW yet but whenever they get the chance to compete, they put on a phenomenal showing. Against O'Reilly and Fish, they'd do something special.
1 The Usos vs. The Young Bucks
There really couldn't be another option. The Young Bucks are AEW's top tag team and they've been the most prominent duo not in WWE for the past decade or so. Meanwhile, The Usos aren't just the best tag team in WWE these days, but they have a case for being the best ever.
Their multitude of championship victories makes them a great main event for a dream card of tag bouts. However, there are also similarities in the ring as both teams throw more superkicks than probably anyone else in history.
