WWE Hall of Famer Edge shocked the world when he returned to WWE in the 2020 men's Royal Rumble match. Edge retired in April 2011 when he was the reigning World Heavyweight Champion as he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis. However, Edge is looking to retire on his terms, and rightfully so.

With Edge's contract situation up in the air, Edge may opt to retire from professional wrestling, sign a new contract, or join AEW. The 11-time World Champion can still operate at a high level, and Edge is aware of father time catching up with him, and some of the final matches in his WWE career were a mixture of outstanding, and underwhelming.
10 Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 2023
Edge returned to action for the first time in three months in the 2023 men's Royal Rumble match as the 24th entrant. Edge was looking to join Steve Austin as a three-time Royal Rumble match winner. The Rated-R Superstar went straight for Damian Priest by spearing him, and he followed it up with a Spear on Finn Balor.
Edge executed the Spear on Dominik Mysterio who was aiming to put Edge down with the 619. Nevertheless, Edge eliminated Priest and Balor back-to-back, but Edge only lasted a minute as he had a standoff with Seth Rollins, but Balor appeared on the apron and removed him from the Rumble.
9 Edge Vs. Dominik Mysterio - Raw (9/12/22)
The main event of the September 12, 2022 edition of Raw, Edge was pitted with Dominik Mysterio. Edge dominated the match with Dom on the receiving end of a beatdown from Edge. Dom was pleading with Edge to stop but Edge didn't oblige.
Dom worked his way back into the match by working on Edge's knee. Moreover, Edge hit the Edge-o-Matic on Dom and he followed it up with the Edgecution. This was an underwhelming bout, and Rey entered the ring to stop Edge from spearing Dom. This led to Balor attacking Edge and Damian Priest attacking Mysterio.
8 Edge Vs. Grayson Waller - SmackDown (7/7/23)
Edge competed in Madison Square Garden for potentially the final time in his career, and he faced Grayson Waller. This was a good match, and Edge was gearing up for the Spear but Waller blocked it. Edge worked on Waller's ribs throughout their one-on-one encounter.
Waller executed a Twisty Unprettier, which was a page from Edge's best friend Christian's book. Edge executed the Edgecution on Waller, but Waller didn't stay down and he was going to go for the Rolling Stunner. Ultimately, Edge saw off Waller with a Spear.
7 Edge Vs. Austin Theory - Raw (2/20/23)
Edge had the hometown support when he challenged Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship on the February 20, 2023, episode of Raw. Edge hadn't held the US Championship since November 2001, and he had a golden opportunity to hold the title again.

This was a back-and-forth clash, and Edge locked in the crossface, but Theory managed to break the hold with his foot touching the rope. Eddge connected with the Edgecution, but he was unable to capitalize as Balor attacked Edge, and Theory finished off Edge with A-Town, Down to retain the United States Championship.
6 Edge Vs. Finn Balor - WrestleMania 39 Sunday
Edge competed in a Hell in a Cell match for the third time in his WWE career as he went head-to-head with the inaugural Universal Champion Finn Balor on WrestleMania 39 Sunday. Unfortunately, this match failed to reach the heights that many expected to reach.
Edge threw Balor's head onto a ladder, and Balor had a gash in his head that required stitches. There were some bright spells in the match, and Edge prevailed after he finished off Balor with a con-chair-to.
5 Edge & Rey Mysterio Vs. The Judgment Day - Clash At The Castle 2022
The crowd in the Principality Stadium for Clash at the Castle 2022 was red-hot, and former WWE Tag Team Champions Edge and Rey Mysterio teamed up and squared off with the Judgment Day's Finn Balor and Damian Priest. This was a competitive match with both teams enjoying spells of dominance.
Toward the end of the match, Mysterio hit the 619 on Balor and Edge followed it up with a Spear. It was a brilliant win for Edge and Mysterio, but afterward, Dominik finally turned heel when he attacked both Edge and his father.
4 Edge & Beth Phoenix Vs. Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley - Elimination Chamber 2023
WWE Hall of Famers Edge and his wife Beth Phoenix faced the Judgment Day's Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley, who won the 2023 women's Royal Rumble match in a mixed tag team match at Elimination Chamber 2023. This was the first time in 17 years that Edge wrestled in Montreal.

This was an entertaining battle, and Dominik Mysterio made his presence felt but he received a chorus of boos. The Glamazon speared Ripley and both Edge and Phoenix locked Balor and Ripley respectively in the Edgecator submission hold. Ultimately, Edge and Phoenix executed the Shatter Machine on Balor to secure the win.
3 Edge Vs. AJ Styles Vs. Rey Mysterio - SmackDown (5/12/23)
Former World Champions Edge, AJ Styles, and Rey Mysterio were looking to advance to the semifinals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. 16 WWE World Titles between them with 11 of those belonging to Edge. They hit a home run in an outstanding wrestling match that was the best match of the night.
Edge executed a double Spear on both Styles and Mysterio through the ropes and onto the outside. Furthermore, Edge was unable to advance to the next round as he took the fall with the Phenomenal One executing the Phenomenal Forearm.
2 Edge Vs. Sheamus - SmackDown (8/18/23)
For the first time Edge and Sheamus faced off in a one-on-one match. They competed in Edge's hometown of Toronto, and to date, this is Edge's final match before his potential retirement, renewal of his WWE contract, or the final match in WWE to go elsewhere. Unsurprisingly, the former World Champions went back and forth in a superb match.
Sheamus executed White Noise off the top rope, and he followed it up with Celtic Cross. A couple of Spears was enough for the Rated-R Superstar to pick up a win over the former four-time WWE World Champion in front of his hometown fans in Toronto.
1 Edge Vs. Finn Balor - Extreme Rules 2022
The rivalry between Edge and the Judgment Day spilled over into Extreme Rules 2022 with Edge colliding with Finn Balor in an "I Quit" match. Edge and Balor tore the house down in a fantastic match with both men looking to get the upper hand.
There was several outside interference from the likes of Rey Mysterio, Beth Phoenix, and Balor's Judgment Day stablemates. The Judgment Day was smart, and Ripley was ready to execute the con-chair-to on Edge's wife Beth, but Edge had no choice but to utter the words "I Quit" with Balor triumphant.
