10 Kofi Kingston’s Boom Drop, Money In The Bank 2010
The very first Money in the Bank PPV was opened up with a great match between SmackDown’s superstars. Arguably the highlight of the match which has become a staple in pretty much every video package for this event was the Boom Drop from Kofi Kingston.
A ladder was set up on the outside of the ring, with Kingston climbing up and delivering an absolutely picture-perfect move onto a prone Drew McIntyre, who was lying on the announce table. It was a great spot and it looked brilliant.
9 Finn Balor’s Coup De Grace, Money In The Bank 2018
Finn Balor’s Coup de Grace finisher is one which looks hard to pull off safely, and it looks nasty for the person taking the move too. Performing this move from the top of the ladder is even more dangerous.
In 2018, Finn Balor climbed to the top of a ladder on the outside of the ring and delivered this move to Robert Roode, who was in the ring. Balor has perhaps never done a more impactful and high-risk Coup de Grace in his whole career.
8 Kevin Owens Powerbombed Through A Ladder, Money In The Bank 2021
As will be evident throughout this look at spectacular Money in the Bank spots, Kevin Owens has gained the reputation of being a punching bag in these ladder bouts.
In 2021, he was on the receiving end of a brutal powerbomb. Seth Rollins picked Owens up in the ring and threw him onto the outside where he went crashing through a ladder which was set up between the apron and the announce table. Owens crumbled under the force of this move.
7 AJ Styles Hangs Onto The Briefcase, Money In The Bank 2017
In 2017, AJ Styles pulled off one of the more unique Money in the Bank ladder match spots of all time. He had his hands on the briefcase, but the ladder was moved from beneath his feet.
He used great core and upper strength to hold on to the briefcase, making it look as though he was trying to unhook it, before eventually crashing into a heap on the mat in what looked like a brutal bump. Styles deserves all the props here for making this look perfect.
6 Kevin Owens’ Gets Michinoku Driven To Hell, Money In The Bank 2016
Kevin Owens was on the receiving end of another brutal move once again in 2016 when he and long-time friend and rival Sami Zayn continued their feud within the Money in the Bank ladder match.

They traded moves all throughout the contest, but the most brutal and noteworthy of all was when Zayn gave Owens a Michinoku Driver on the edge of a ladder, which was lying down on its side. It was a move that would make even the toughest of people cringe.
5 Sheamus Powerbombs Sin Cara, Money In The Bank 2011
In 2011, one of the more brutal spots in Money in the Bank history took place in the SmackDown field. Sheamus and Sin Cara were on the apron, and Sheamus lifted him up for a powerbomb and slammed through a ladder that was set up on the outside.
The ladder split in half and Sin Cara’s body came very close to doing the same. This move would actually rule him out with an injury, showcasing just how brutal it was. Sin Cara didn’t have the best of luck in WWE, with this moment being arguably his best in the company.
4 Seth Rollins’ Backdrop, Money In The Bank 2014
Seth Rollins’ steps to stardom continued at Money in the Bank 2014 when he went on to win the briefcase and become Mr. Money in the Bank. However, his victory didn’t come without its difficulties.
He was battling Kofi Kingston on top of a ladder, and he was on the receiving end of a massive backdrop that saw Rollins fly off the ladder, crash into another ladder, and his body bounced off it before falling uncomfortably to the mat. It was an insane moment and one of the most spectacular spots ever.
3 Kevin Owens Crashes Through Tables, Money In The Bank 2018
The third and final time Kevin Owens appears here is perhaps his most spectacular of the bunch. In 2018, he feuded with Braun Strowman in a rivalry where Strowman pretty much just beat the hell out of him, and that trend continued in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Owens tried to escape Strowman, and it led to him climbing ladders up on the stage. Strowman followed him up before throwing him from the highest ladder, sending him crashing through tables below in a sensational spot.
2 Ricochet’s Springboard, Money In The Bank 2021
Ricochet has become a highlight reel within the Money in the Bank ladder match in recent years, with the most spectacular example being in 2021’s contest.

Ricochet was on a ladder, but the ladder got pushed, with the idea being that Ricochet would fall to the floor. However, Ricochet had other ideas, jumping onto the rope and springboarding himself from it onto a sea of competitors on the outside. It was a stunning piece of athleticism.
1 Andrade & Finn Balor Sunset Flip, Money In The Bank 2019
Arguably the most spectacular, brutal, and crazy spot in the history of the Money in the Bank PPV came in 2019 when Andrade hit a huge sunset flip on Finn Balor from atop a ladder and onto another ladder.
The reason why this was so amazing was due to the sheer impact and force of the move, making it both hard to watch and something you couldn’t take your eyes off.
