The Hart Family has been synonymous with wrestling for over fifty years. Since 1986, there has almost always been at least one member of the Hart family in the WWE. First Bret Hart and brother-in-law, Jim The Anvil Neidhart made up the Hart Foundation while brother and cousin-in-laws Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid made up The British Bulldogs.

It had been over a decade since any members of the family were part of the company. Then The Hart Dynasty debuted. The main roster iteration is what is known best - Natalya, TJ Wilson, and Harry Smith. Bret Hart joined his niece and nephews too, for a short time.

While they had all been more or less training since they were in diapers, the next generation of Hart kids began down in the company’s developmental company - FCW (what would eventually grow into NXT).

This version included Teddy Hart and even Ted Dibiase Jr. joined the group as well. When they debuted on the main roster, it was just Tyson Kidd, Harry Smith, and Natalya. Teddy, unfortunately, got released and Ted joined up with the Legacy.

From a technician standpoint, Tyson Kidd was once considered one of the very best in the ring. While not related by blood, he grew up with the entire Hart clan.

He met Teddy at a young age and was around ever since. While Chris Jericho likes to say he’s the last graduate of Stu Hart’s Dungeon, Tyson Kidd actually holds the distinction.

8 Teddy Hart Was Once Youngest Signee Ever

Teddy Hart

At just sixteen years of age, Teddy Hart was opening WWE house shows in Calgary. But it was a case of too much, too soon and Teddy was released for drug issues.

After stints in TNA and ROH, he was re-signed by WWE and was sent to FCW, where he helped form The Hart Dynasty. Unfortunately, the most controversial Hart has never made it to the main roster.

7 Originally Named The Hart Trilogy

The team was actually drafted to ECW. They formed when Harry helped Tyson out during his match with Finlay. The trio actually came together originally as The Hart Trilogy, which was a bit of a play on words - they were the third iteration of a Hart family stable. Obviously, that name didn’t stick.

While they weren’t on their way out the door, The Hart Dynasty wasn’t exactly turning a lot of heads in early 2010.

But once Bret Hart returned, the Dynasty was thrust into that storyline as well. When they came out the other side, they were able to derail ShowMiz to win the WWE Unified Tag Team titles. Harry and TJ are recognized as the final champions.

5 Harry’s Lineage

Harry Smith And Dynamite Kid

Being the son of The British Bulldog, Harry Smith has a unique lineage in the business. The Bulldogs were cousins and for a time, Dynamite was cousins-in-law with Bret Hart.

While Tom Billington’s daughter, Bronwynne, and his nephews are following in his footsteps as well, it’s Harry who has made the biggest splash.

4 TJ’s Agent Status

Unfortunately, thanks to an errant Muscle Buster from Samoa Joe, Tyson Kidd’s neck suffered the same injury as Christopher Reeve. Thankfully, it didn’t leave him paralyzed.

But no one was going to take any chances and have him get back in the ring. He has more or less been an agent backstage ever since. He is one of the most respected agents too, and he crafted some of the biggest matches of the Women’s Revolution.

3 Recreating A Famous Photo

The Hart family in wrestling was undoubtedly at its hottest during the reincarnation of The Hart Foundation. Led by The Hitman, the fearsome fivesome devastated the WWE, winning all the major titles.

They were also huge babyfaces all over the world, despite being the scourge of the WWE in the States. Years later, The Hart Dynasty grabbed up-and-coming Brian Pillman Jr. to help recreate an epic photo shoot, that thanks to the internet has lived on.

2 The Future Of The Dungeon

When the family lived at the now historical sight - Hart House in Calgary, the Dungeon became a legendary training and proving ground for nearly everyone who became anyone in the business. That tradition continues albeit in a different form.

During the Pandemic, Tyson and Natalya set up The Dungeon 2.0, where all sorts of superstars have come to hone their skills, including Liv Morgan and Tyson Fury, who was trained by Tyson Kidd.

1 They Facilitated The Reconciliation

Bret And Shawn

Despite the wrestling career accomplishments of The Hart Dynasty, perhaps the most important thing they were able to achieve during their time together was facilitating Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart letting the past go.

Shawn shared a locker room with the kids and shared his regrets over the Montreal Screwjob. The Hitman asked TJ to give Shawn his number. They were able to reconcile their friendship and after over ten years let the past be history.
