AEW is one of the top promotions in the wrestling world and the company provides great production and characters which can help elevate a wrestler to a whole new level. It forces people to step up with how they appear inside the ring, and that can see them move up the card massively.

Certain wrestlers did look like jobbers when they first appeared in AEW, whether that was down to their physique, ring gear, or the overall gimmick they were portraying. Yet for many of them, they have been able to kick on to the next level due to how Tony Khan has booked and presented them.
10 QT Marshall
QT Marshall is an experienced wrestler in AEW, and he is very talented inside the ring which is why he is often pushed to train other people. However, before he joined the company his overall presentation was something that was lacking, which is why many viewed him as a jobber from the moment he arrived.
However, Marshall has worked hard to develop a specific character for himself with a unique look that has proven to be ideal when it comes to gaining heat. But that wasn't the case beforehand as his look was lacking, which is what made him appear to be a forgettable talent.
9 Evil Uno
Evil Uno has often had quite a forgettable look, which is mainly due to the gear that he wore not standing out. While his mask instantly brings attention, the problem was that he didn't appear like a star. That's something that continued in AEW, but his recent weight loss has improved his look.

However, before he started wearing the darker colors, Uno could be found in bright green gear which wasn't a good look for him. This appearance gave off jobber vibes, which is something he thankfully worked on.
8 Eddie Kingston
Eddie Kingston is the furthest thing from a jobber you could be in the industry, and he could easily be taken seriously as the AEW World Champion due to how talented he is. However, his overall look is something that would make a casual fan think jobber, with Kingston not boasting the best physique or ring gear.
Ultimately, that is all part of Kingston's charm as it suits his character, but heading into AEW if fans weren't aware of his work or character and took him at face value, then jobber status is likely what people would presume.
7 Sammy Guevara
Sammy Guevara has always been a fantastic wrestler, but his look at times made fans question how seriously they should be taking him. A big reason for that was how he acted, often being rather goofy which was something that went along with his vlogging channel, but it didn't necessarily help his in-ring focus.
The giant panda head that he would wear only added to that situation as he often showcased himself to be quite silly and when that took place it was easy for some fans to view him as a jobber.
6 JD Drake
JD Drake is a talented in-ring worker and while he hasn't necessarily been pushed too much during his time in AEW, he has been able to showcase his ability at times. He has also had a slightly more polished look which has suited him overall and taken him to new heights.
Before joining AEW that was something that he lacked, clearly placing his focus on what happened from a bell-to-bell perspective rather than his entire presentation, which is why many might have just seen him as a jobber.
5 Peter Avalon
Before joining AEW Peter Avalon wasn't someone who was seen in the most serious light, and that is largely down to how his gimmick worked. Avalon is an over-the-top wrestler who brings a lot of personality to everything he does, and he has no problem in putting others over.

This is why he has been given that role in AEW, even though he is a great worker who can put on exciting matches when he is allowed to do so.
4 Brandon Cutler
Much like Peter Avalon, before Brandon Cutler had even debuted in AEW fans saw him as a jobber due to how his in-ring career was going and the way he was presented on Being The Elite. Cutler was never someone who was shown seriously or as someone who could be at a competitive level with the best in the company.
This has been reflected by how Tony Khan has booked him overall. Cutler has been a guy to put over others and primarily has been used for outside-of-the-ring roles which has suited him the best.
3 Mark Sterling
A lot of fans aren't aware of the fact that Mark Sterling was a full-time wrestler before joining AEW and settling into his managerial role. However, those that did watch him compete would have likely seen him as a jobber because he tended to put other people over in his encounters.
This is one of the reasons he has taken up a lot of comedic roles in AEW so far, and that is something that has worked out well for him. However, beforehand he was seen as a jobber when it comes to his in-ring work.
2 Danhausen
Whenever a wrestler enters the comedy aspect of the business it is very easy for fans to simply see them as jobbers because people who are out to make others laugh are typically booked in that manner. They're normally showcased for their entertainment value and that can be hard to push as a serious wrestler at the same time.
Danhausen proved to be extremely popular on the internet, but it was mainly due to funny skits rather than being a serious wrestler, and that instantly presented him in a certain manner to people.
1 Britt Baker
Britt Baker is one of AEW's top stars and she has been steadily pushed as the face of the women's division by Tony Khan. However, before that opportunity came her way a lot of people viewed her as a jobber, mainly because of how she was presented in WWE.
Baker was never signed by the company, but she did appear several times as an enhancement talent, and it was always to put people over. She was a jobber for the company and that is why many fans still viewed her that way originally when she first appeared in AEW.
