When a giant Amazon of a woman debuted, thrashing poor defenseless Marlena around, it looked pretty terrifying. It wasn’t long before fans would come to learn that the mystery woman was Chyna, Triple H’s bodyguard. The two were inseparable, and she was by side for many of the big moments in the early run of the game.

Plenty of those moments are etched in fans’ minds. Others, perhaps we could use some reminders about how influential this Hall Of Fame power couple really was. Triple H and Chyna's partnership not only made proved The Game had the tools to be a major player, but solidified Chyna as one of the greatest parts of WWE.
8 They Were Both Trained By Killer Kowalski
Despite their shared interest in bodybuilding and growing up in the Northeast, The Game and The Ninth Wonder Of The World hadn’t met one another until shortly before Chyna was signed by WWE.
But they did each share a trainer. Chyna and Triple H separately sat under the learning tree of Hall Of Famer Walter 'Killer' Kowalski. They each took separate paths to get to WWE, but their roads each started in the same place.
7 Chyna Was Set To Go To WCW
According to several folks over the years, there was a good chance that somewhere in the multiverse, there is a planet where Chyna signed with Eric Bischoff and WCW.

She would have in theory joined up with the nWo in a similar role that she had with DX. But by this point she had a burgeoning friendship with the then-Connecticut Blue Blood and found her way to the WWE instead.
6 Chyna Followed Mr. Hughes
For the first few years of Triple H’s career he was always with some sort of second. First, week after week, The Blue Blood was accompanied to the ring by a gorgeous lady. Then for a brief time, Mr. Perfect.
He was even paired up with Mr. Hughes for a short time. However, that pairing seemed cold right from the start. It wasn’t long before Chyna would replace Mr. Hughes as his bodyguard.
5 They Were Together When Triple H Won Their First Title
In the summer of 1999, Triple H delivered an epic promo declaring he doesn’t need Kliqs or DX anymore and that he was “the damn Game.” But Chyna was still by his side.
While he fell short winning the gold at SummerSlam, one night later on Monday Night Raw, he was able to secure a match against new champion Mankind with Shane McMahon as guest referee. He was able to take down Mankind, and he did it with The Ninth Wonder Of The World by his side.
4 Triple H & HBK Had To Convince Vince
It seems that a guy like Vince McMahon who loves bodybuilding would immediately “get” Chyna and want to sign her and make her a star. But he didn’t understand what she had to offer and certainly didn’t grasp the concept of how much heat a female heater would get Triple H.

But after some convincing from Triple H and Shawn Michaels and some needling that she might get signed by WCW if they don’t sweep her up, Vince was convinced to bring Chyna over as an asset in the Monday Night Wars.
3 They Both Won The Intercontinental Title
When they created Chyna, the mold was completely smashed. Plenty of ladies have come along since that were clearly inspired by The Ninth Wonder Of The World, but not one of them have done what Chyna had done during her career.
Other than superlative titles like the Hardcore Championship, she is the only woman in WWE history to have won a men's title - she is a former two time Intercontinental Champion. That makes her and Triple H the only male/female duo to pull off this accomplishment.
2 They’ve Both Feuded With Jericho
When Chris Jericho debuted in 1999, it was an immediate shock to the WWE roster, as all sorts of brand-new feuds ands matches could be arranged with Jericho as a cog. But by the end of the year, Y2J was engaged in a head scratching feud.
But it still helped catapult Jericho up the card when he wrestled Chyna for the Intercontinental Title as well as co-held the title with her. Several years later, Jericho’s stock had risen high enough onto the mid-card that he didn’t just wage war against The Game, he actually beat him for the WWE Title for about 15 minutes.
1 They Both Won A Rumble Match
Chyna also made history by being the first ever woman to compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble. She earned her spot by actually winning a Corporate Rumble Match on Raw.
Several years later in 2002, The Game would win his first ever Royal Rumble as well. They also shared the ring briefly during Chyna’s 1999 appearance before both were eliminated by the eventual winner, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
