Paula Abdul sang about a long time ago in the eighties with a cartoon cat - opposites attract. In WWE, there have been plenty of relationships that were completely bizarre pairings. Generally even though these are head scratching, they actually work in all sorts of memorable “only in professional wrestling ways.”

Not all of these were instant hits, and some were downright disasteriffic, but to the ones that worked, they each helped out their brand if only for a little while. Perhaps there’s still some time for some of these couples to reunite.
9 Al Wilson And Dawn Marie
It was a May-December romance when Torrie Wilson’s father fell for the vixen, Dawn Marie. To be honest, who could blame the guy?! He was a little older, single, and a gorgeous young lady was giving him the time of day. Torrie Wilson could blame Al, that’s who. She disapproved of the couple’s affections for one another and for some reason couldn’t believe that a woman like Dawn Marie could adore her father. As weird as it was watching a senior citizen dance around in his underwear on live television, it was fun to watch the calamity ensue.
8 Kane And Lita
Hey, anyone with The Big Red Machine is going to be slightly off-kilter (much more on that later). In a bit of a Stockholm Syndrome relationship, Matt Hardy lost a Til Death Do Us Part match to Kane, which made Lita his betrothed.

Clearly she wanted nothing to do with the monster, but was forced to marry him and was even carrying his big red demon seed. But after she lost her baby, Snitsky decided to tease her about it, which led Lita using Kane to her advantage like a big red Doberman.
7 Saturn And Terri Runnels
The relationship between Saturn and Terri didn’t seem overtly romantic, but how else would you explain The Attitude Era’s “horny little she-devil” getting jealous of Perry Saturn’s love affair with Moppy?” Because of the childlike Saturn’s affection for the mop with a face, Terri enlisted the services of Raven to steal Moppy and dump it in a wood chipper.
6 Santino Marella And Beth Phoenix
Anyone who had ever said “funny don’t mean money” when it comes to the wrestling business clearly never met Santino Marella. He was always good for brevity during any show. But when paired up with The Glamazon Beth Phoenix, because of the powerhouse that Beth was and the powerhouse comedian that Santino was, the relationship was able to flourish in one of the most entertaining storylines during their time together. It’s just a shame that Santina winning the WrestleMania 25 Women’s Battle Royal ended Glamarella.
5 Kane And Katie Vick
Bizarre might not be the word for the ballad of Kane and Katie Vick. Kane, who supposedly spent the entirety of his formative years in a burn ward somehow found the time to fall for his friend, Katie Vick.

While at a party, she had too much to drink and Kane tried to drive them home. Not knowing how to drive stick shift, they got into an accident which cost Katie her life. Whether or not you believe Triple H’s account of the story, Kane refused to let his love go unrequited - dead or alive meant very little.
4 Goldust And Luna Vachon
When your nickname is literally The Bizarre One, you need to be really out there when it comes to bizarre relationships. But shortly after leaving his wife, Marlena, Goldust would seek the comfort of Nurse Goodbody, revealed to be Luna Vachon. Combined, the two took tandem dressing for the sake of being disgusting to all kinds of levels of craziness including dressing as a New Year’s Baby, Marilyn Manson, and even Triple H and Chyna.
3 Dexter Lumis And Indi Hartwell
Let’s face it - we might all be rooting for a psychopathic stalker, but Indi Hartwell was once married to the guy! Towards the end of Triple H’s reign as Head Booker in NXT, a romance started to blossom between The Way’s Hartwell and the Tortured Artist, Lumis. The couple were oddly so popular that they got the portmanteau treatment, becoming InDex. At their wedding, Lumis choked out the minister allowing Beth Phoenix to perform the ceremony.
2 Jeff Hardy And Trish Stratus
While opposites can attract, sometimes two extremely charismatic people for whatever the reason just don’t add up. WWE and quite frankly anyone with at least one good working eye noticed that both Jeff Hardy and Trish Stratus are among the beautiful people.

But what made this relationship bizarre was that it was painfully obvious that neither of them had any actually interest in each other or the angle.
1 Mark Henry And Mae Young
While it is very much against the “standard,” Mark Henry and Mae Young fell for one other during the height of The Attitude Era. Mark would try to tame the unsinkable Johnny Mae Young and have her cover up whenever she exposed herself. Things of course took an even wilder turn when it was revealed that the senior citizen was carrying their child. It turned out to be a gooey gross hand, but still.
