Athena (fka Ember Moon) shocked the wrestling world at AEW's Double Or Nothing this past weekend by officially making her debut for the company.
Ever since she was released by WWE back in November, bringing an end to her six-year stint with the company, fans have been speculating over the possibility of her joining AEW. The company has been pushing its women's division heavily as of late, adding quality names such as Ruby Soho and Toni Storm to the roster.
Now Athena can be added to that list, as she made her presence known after the TBS Championship match between Jade Cargill and Anna Jay. Jade and her Baddies section were dominating a post-match beatdown against both Anna and Kris Statlander when new music hit and Athena appeared to even up the odds.
This was the second debut that took place during this segment after Stokely Hathaway (fka Malcolm Bivens) appeared during the encounter itself to help Jade defend her title.
Athena Comments On Debuting For AEW
Athena got a huge reaction from the live Las Vegas crowd at Double Or Nothing, and she went on to Twitter after the show to speak positively about her experience. Athena was left impressed with the response that she received from the fans, making it clear they won't be disappointed as AEW announced that she had signed ith the company.

It is unknown when the former NXT Women's Champion is set to make her official in-ring debut, but it appears that she is going to be thrust into the TBS Championship scene and a rivalry with Jade Cargill and her Baddies.
