Chavo Guerrero is widely known to wrestling fans due to his time in WWE. The former ECW Champion spent a decade in the company, winning numerous titles such as the Cruiserweight Championship, and the Tag Team Championships with his uncle Eddie, and is sure to be a future Hall of Famer.
Guerrero hasn't only worked in WWE, though, with a solid five years spent in WCW prior to his arrival in Vince McMahon's promotion also being fairly successful, but what some fans won't be aware of is the pretty impressive career the now 52-year-old has forged for himself in the subsequent years since he departed WWE in 2011.

For some superstars, leaving WWE can prove to be a career killer, bringing their time in the squared circle to a whimpering end, but Chavo actually used the situation to his advantage, and got plenty of work in for a variety of different promotions. Here's the low down on what Guerrero got up to following his release over a decade ago.
Chavo Guerrero Achieved Tag Team Success In TNA
Chavo's first real splash following his WWE exit was his move to TNA, the promotion widely considered the second biggest in the world at the time.
While his time in the company wasn't the longest, he was only a member of the roster for about 18 months, he still managed to enjoy a fair amount of success, primarily in the tag team division. Following his debut, Guerrero immediately aligned with long-time roster member Hernandez and the pair wreaked havoc on the division, managing to win the TNA Tag Team Championships on two separate occasions.
Almost the entirety of his run in TNA was spent alongside Hernandez, and Chavo saw very little in the way of a singles push. He eventually left the company in late 2013, shortly after the pair went their separate ways, after the Feast or Fired briefcase he obtained had a pink slip inside of it.
Chavo Guerrero Played A Key Role In Lucha Underground
It wasn't long after his TNA exit that Chavo showed up in the brand-new upstart promotion, Lucha Underground, on the El Rey network. The show, which focused heavily on a supernatural element, and was typically more of a television series than a traditional wrestling company, was a huge hit with wrestling fans, and the 52-year-old had a key role in it early on.
Just weeks after his debut, Chavo turned heel on Blue Demon Jr. and Sexy Star, embarking on a solid heel run that would continue throughout the majority of the show's run, and included a brief run with the promotion's Gift of the Gods Championship.
Lucha Underground came to a close following the culmination of their fourth season. As a result, Chavo moved on, and eventually embarked on a career in television.
Chavo Guerrero Has Since Showed Up In AEW And Ring of Honor
While his time as an in-ring competitor has wound down since his days in Lucha Underground, he has still found work within the industry, showing up in both AEW and Ring of Honor as a manager.
First, he arrived in AEW as Andrade El Idolo's consultant in the summer of 2021, accompanying the former NXT Champion to the ring for a short time, before the 33-year-old turned on Chavo, assaulting him after a match against PAC in September 2021, and he quickly disappeared off of television. The move was made to write him off of TV, as Chavo was set to work on NBC's Young Rock television show, but he was eventually removed from the AEW roster, and hasn't returned to the company since.
Earlier this year, he showed up in Ring of Honor as Bandido's manager, but once again the run was brief, and after costing Bandido the Ring of Honor Championship match at Supercard of Honor XV, the pairing was brought to an end.
Chavo Guerrero Has Also Dabbled In Television Work
Chavo hasn't limited his work since leaving WWE to just wrestling, though. He's also dabbled into the television business, including time working on two popular wrestling based shows, Netflix's GLOW and NBC's Young Rock.
While he appeared in two episodes of GLOW during its second season, Chavo was primarily used as a wrestling coordinator for both shows, and worked behind the scenes, helping put together some of their fight scenes.

It's safe to say, he'll always be primarily remembered for his time in WWE, but it's important to acknowledge just how well he's done for himself in the decade since he left.
