Dominik Mysterio Wants To Reconcile With His Dad, But He's Not Talking About Rey

Dominik Mysterio is a big deal right now, who saw that coming? Turns out the key to making people care about Dominik was making him a heel because, well, he's pretty damn good at it. The boos whenever Dominik tries to speak are so loud that you can barely hear him, even with a mic in his hand. How much Dominik has been leaning into the legacy of Eddie Guerrero is no accident either, and he may have just done the most despicable thing connected to Eddie that he has done so far.

Dreams Of Reconciliation

Answering questions from fans on social media last week, someone asked Dominik if he thinks he'll ever reconcile with his dad. The North American Champion got unexpectedly emotional when reading the question, claiming he dreams about reconciliation so much that it keeps him up at night. However, the reason it keeps him up at night is because that reconciliation isn't possible.

Not because Dominik is unwilling to patch things up with Rey, but because he wasn't talking about Rey at all. "He's no longer with us. RIP Eddie. I do what I can at this point," Dominik said, turning the question on its head. Dirty Dom has been leaning into his Eddie connections a lot, of course. He's got the same haircut, he used Guerrero's Frogsplash, and he even has a similar on-screen relationship with Rhea Ripley to the one Eddie had with Chyna.

Leaning Into The Eddie Connection

The Eddie-Dominik connection goes back a long way, years before Dom was ever a WWE Superstar. Rey and Guerrero competed against one another in a ladder match with custody of Dominik on the line, an infamous match in WWE history that has been turned into countless memes since. Dominik has been making the most of that history, and the relationship between the Mysterios and the Guerreros, to get as much heat as possible.

This also isn't the first time recently Dominik and Ripley have made waves during a Q&A. The Nightmare answered some fan questions of her own, claiming her favorite thing to do with Dominik is f**k. Ripley's words, not mine, and I still can't quite believe the clip of her saying that was posted on WWE's social media accounts.
