AJ Styles is "The Face That Runs The Place" and he has captured several major titles during his WWE career. Some of The Phenomenal One's title runs were stellar, and others completely failed to miss the mark.
When AJ Styles made his debut in the 2016 Royal Rumble match, it was unexpected, but fans were in shock to see Styles who was a TNA stalwart join WWE. However, The Phenomenal One has been booked strongly during his five-and-a-half-year stint in WWE, currently with a plethora of title reigns to his name.

Styles is a two-time WWE Champion, three-time United States Champion, one-time Intercontinental Champion, and a one-time Raw Tag Team Champion. With those accolades, Styles is the 32nd Triple Crown Winner in WWE history and he is the 15th Grand Slam Champion under the current format. Styles is still in his early 40's and if he's motivated and healthy, there's no reason why he can't add more championships to his cabinet.
7 United States Championship - First Reign (2017)
Title matches on live shows are pretty much predictable as champions barely lose their title as the championship change is non-televised. However, on July 7, 2017, AJ Styles challenged Kevin Owens for the United States Championship on a live event show in Madison Square Garden.
WWE has a rich vein of history in MSG, and Styles capturing his first United States Title at The Prizefighter's expense was a huge shock. This was by far Styles' worst title run in his WWE career as he only defended the title once in a losing effort by dropping the title back to Owens at Battleground, just 16 days later.
6 Intercontinental Championship - First Reign (2020)
With Sami Zayn taking a sabbatical due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Intercontinental Championship was vacated. A tournament was held to crown a new Intercontinental Champion with The Phenomenal One battling a familiar foe in Daniel Bryan on the June 12, 2020, edition of SmackDown. Sadly this match took place behind closed doors in the Performance Center but the quality of this match was off the charts.
This was a physical match that lasted over 30 minutes with the pendulum going back and forth. Nevertheless, Styles earned a hard-fought victory to add the prestigious Intercontinental Championship to his collection. Styles barely defended the title, but he successfully retained it against Drew Gulak, Matt Riddle, and Gran Metalik. Styles was Intercontinental Champion for 74 days, with Jeff Hardy defeating him for the championship.
5 Raw Tag Team Championship - First Reign (2021)
A reign with a Tag Team Championship eluded AJ Styles for five years in WWE, and it was the missing piece of the jigsaw as he was looking to become a Grand Slam Champion. That all changed at WrestleMania 37 when Styles teamed up with his bodyguard Omos and they dethroned The New Day for the Raw Tag Team Championship.

There was huge excitement to see how this duo would fare, but they were conspicuous by their absence and were off-screen for one month. Styles and Omos' title reign was average despite the pair holding the titles for 133 days. They defeated The New Day in their return match on the May 3, 2021, edition of Raw to retain the titles. They overcame The Viking Raiders twice on an episode of Raw and at Money in the Bank 2021. Ultimately, RK-Bro brought an end to their run as champions at SummerSlam 2021.
4 United States Championship - Second Reign (2017)
The United States Championship was like a hot potato in the summer of 2017, but AJ Styles brought some stability back to the title when he regained the championship from Kevin Owens in a triple threat match that also involved Chris Jericho on the July 25, 2017, edition of SmackDown. Styles' second run with the title was much more successful than his first reign.
Styles feuded with Owens for the majority of his United States Title reign which was a brilliant feud. He retained the title in matches against Owens thrice with two matches on SmackDown and one at SummerSlam 2017 with Shane McMahon as the special guest referee. Styles also beat Tye Dillinger twice, but his 75-day run ended when Baron Corbin defeated him and Dillinger in a triple threat match at Hell in a Cell 2017.
3 United States Championship - Third Reign (2019)
Life was good for AJ Styles in 2019 as he was a member of the Raw brand, turned heel, and reunited The O.C. with his good pals Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The Face That Runs The Place quickly became a three-time United States Champion when he defeated Ricochet at Extreme Rules.
This was Styles' best reign as United States Champion and The O.C. had a lot of stroke as Gallows and Anderson held the Raw Tag Team Championship. Ricochet failed to recapture the title at SummerSlam with Styles coming out on top once again. Nevertheless, Styles successfully retained the title against the likes of Braun Strowman, Cedric Alexander, and Humberto Carrillo. Ultimately, Rey Mysterio brought his 134-day reign as United States Champion to a halt on the November 25, 2019, edition of Raw.
2 WWE Championship - First Reign (2016/17)
AJ Styles had one of the best debut years in 2016, and he capped off a perfect year by defeating Dean Ambrose for his first WWE Championship reign at Backlash. Styles allowed a new audience to witness his greatness, and he excelled in his role as WWE Champion.

The Phenomenal One overcame The Lunatic Fringe in a title rematch on the September 27, 2016 edition of SmackDown. Styles took it to another level at No Mercy when he beat both Ambrose and John Cena in the opening match of the night. Unfortunately, James Ellsworth had a couple of shots at his title which was an embarrassment. Styles' 140-day run as WWE Champion was great, and he lost the WWE Championship to John Cena at Royal Rumble 2017 in an instant classic.
1 WWE Championship - Second Reign (2017/18)
It remained to be seen if AJ Styles would ever win the WWE Championship again, but he put that question to bed on the November 7, 2017, episode of SmackDown when he defeated Jinder Mahal. It was a historical moment as it was the first time that the WWE Title had changed hands in England.
Styles grew in confidence in his second WWE Championship reign as he held the title for 371 days. Moreover, Styles' reign was the eighth longest in WWE history which is a remarkable effort. During his run, he defeated the likes of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, John Cena, Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Daniel Bryan. However, he was meant to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series 2018 in a champion versus champion match for the second year in succession, but Daniel Bryan threw a spanner in the works by beating him Styles for the gold.
