Andre The Giant is one of the most fascinating human beings to exist in this world, and not just in wrestling. After all, you don’t see a 7’4” and 520lb beast of a human like him in your daily life. Andre’s fame transcended wrestling and he achieved pop culture stardom as well. Even those who had never watched wrestling had heard of him because he was a special attraction and unlike anyone else they had seen before. Andre’s personal life was also filled with some really interesting stories. Now usually if someone is so popular in a certain profession, they try to set up their children in the same field so they can achieve success like them. But Robin Christensen-Roussimoff is not a name most wrestling fans are familiar with. She is Andre’s only daughter, and surprisingly never mentioned on WWE programming considering Andre was such an important figure in the WWE history and that Robin was also a wrestler herself at one point.

Robin Christensen-Roussimoff Is The Daughter Of Andre The Giant
Andre The Giant was quite a ladies’ man, according to people close to him, although there was one person he eventually committed to, and tied the knot with. That woman was Jean Christensen. It is said that Andre and Jean met each other in the 70s when she worked in the PR department of WWE. On the web, there are different things written about their relationship. Some say they were married, others say they separated or weren’t even married in the first place. Nobody really knows what the truth is, except for the people who were close to Andre or his family.
But for what it’s worth, Robin did refer to her mother as Andre's wife, who never allowed her to watch wrestling because she didn’t want Andre’s on-screen persona to influence her opinions about him. This happened during a New York City Comic Con way back in 2015 where Robin was promoting the Andre the Giant: Closer to Heaven graphic novel. In 2008, Robin lost her mother. Today, Andre the Giant’s daughter is 43 years old. She worked as a wrestler too for some time, and also took some acting gigs. She is also going to work as a consultant on an upcoming biopic on her father.

Robin Christensen-Roussimoff Only Met Andre The Giant A Few Times
Fans don’t really know too much about their relationship in detail, since Robin rarely talks to the media. On a rare occasion that she did, Robin revealed that her relationship with her father wasn’t that great. They never really bonded because Andre was always on the road, although she did have his phone number to contact him. Her mother and Andre’s relationship was also a bit complicated, and it was clear that she didn’t like him. Robin has said that her mother never stopped her from seeing Andre, but she once refused to see his ranch in North Carolina – something Andre really wanted his daughter to see, because her mother wouldn't go with her.
According to Robin, she only met her father a handful of times in her life, and even then some of those memories weren’t so pleasant since they happened in court over child support. In a 205 interview with CBS Sports, she said, “I can recall two or three times at arenas. Unfortunately, other times, they were in court.” Jackie said that Andre was really upset that he couldn’t meet his daughter more often. He and Robin talked over the phone a few weeks before he passed away on January 28, 1993.

Andre The Giant Passed Away At Just The Age Of 46
Andre was cremated in the United States, against his mother’s wishes – who wanted him to be buried alongside his father who had passed away days earlier – since no one in France could do it due to his gigantic body.
Andre left everything he owned to his daughter and gave his two best friends – Jackie and her ex-husband French Bernard – some money. Everyone respected Andre the Giant, and the WWE Hall of Fame was created solely to honor Andre in 1993. Even though he couldn’t spend more time with his daughter when he was alive, she doesn’t seem to hate him for this and has always talked highly of him in interviews.
