Impact Wrestling is conducting negotiations with several other networks after seeing their talks with current network Pop TV go by negatively.
Pop TV has pushed Impact from their prime-time slot and aren't prepared to change that, forcing the promotion to seek their publicity elsewhere.
The wrestling company has been with the network since 2016, signing a deal after losing their contract with Paramount (formerly Spike TV) after a 10-year stint and another deal with Destination America.

According to Mike McMahon and Andrew Soucek, who discussed the issue on the PWTorch Livecast, the promotion has held talks with various broadcasters, including TruTV, WGN and SyFy.
Their current deal with Pop TV ends on January 3, 2019, something which leaves the airing of Impact Wrestling: Homecoming - set for January 6 - uncertain. There is the option of signing a new deal with Pop TV, however, it is more likely that they sign with one of the aforementioned.
If they can't reach an agreement with an alternative network, Impact will continue airing on Pop TV, just within an unwanted and inconvenient time slot.
The popular wrestling promo will stay with the network until the end of 2019 and air at 10 pm (EST) for as long as they remain but the slot is far from ideal, especially as they have been showing up on prime time for a number of years.
What This Means
Impact Wrestling would certainly be better off moving to a new network. Either one of the above would bring their viewership numbers up and get them on more television sets, given that their following has dropped significantly since they got pushed back. Also, their Pop TV numbers have always been lower than the usual haul from their Paramount days.
Fans will hope that the company could pull through with a new deal as it will be beneficial for both Impact and their loyal viewership. Fortunately, they shouldn't have to wait very long for an update.
