WWE held Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia on Saturday and the show kicked off with Roman Reigns defending his Universal Championship against Goldberg. A stacked card only got more interesting after that. Becky Lynch and Lita put on a show, Brock Lesnar walked through every except Bobby Lashley and the SmackDown Tag Team match didn't even take place.

For all the twist and turns that were teased ahead of the event, there wasn't a lot going on, other than disappointing finishes and absences that have set up WrestleMania, but shouldn't go over terribly well with the WWE Universe.

Here are your winners and losers for WWE Elimination Chamber 2022:

Loser: Goldberg Does His Job, But Goes To Sleep

Goldberg vs. Roman kicked things off and Reigns basically put Goldberg to rest. The action was back-and-forth with Goldberg landing a couple of spears and giving the audience a feeling he had a shot at victory, but Reigns reversed a jackhammer to apply a guillotine choke, and he put Goldberg to sleep. This wasn't a long match (few people probably expected it to be a technical classic) and it has to signal the end of Goldberg's WWE run.

Jim's Thoughts

Whatever you think about Goldberg, there are few people in WWE who can create a sense of emotion as he can. Whether it's anticipation or trepidation that the title might change hands, there's a feeling throughout matches he's involved with that he could win. That puts people on the edge of their seats, even if it's simply because they're hoping he doesn't win. That happened again here, but Reigns continues his dominant run as the champion which is the right decision.

Winner: Bianca Belair

Belair punches her ticket to WrestleMania with a win in the Women's Elimination Chamber Match. She landed a Kiss of Death on Alexa Bliss to stand tall as the last participant in the match. This was a solid match that was PG for Elimination Chamber standards, but the Belair was the dominant force here, pinning Rhea Ripley and Bliss to become the No. 1 contender. Nikki A.S.H was eliminated by Ripley early, Liv Morgan hit a top-rope power bomb on Doudrop to eliminate her and Morgan was eliminated by Bliss. Once Belair dispatched Ripley, it was Belair and Bliss to the end.

Jim's Thoughts

Belair was a predictable choice here because of her SummerSlam history with Becky Lynch. Not only was Belair the most athletic of the women in the chamber match, but she's got a storyline built-in for WWE's biggest show of the year. The big moments of the match was Beliar's one-armed press slam of Morgan and her power bomb spot with Bliss where she threw Bliss into the cage multiple times. Belair truly is an athletic freak.

Winner: Rousey vs. Flair Feud

The match that featured Ronda Rousey team with Naomi and have one hand tied behind her back versus Sonya Deville and Charlotte Flair was simple but effective. The bout started with Deville revealing she wasn't actually injured (which surprised nobody) and didn't really deter Rousey who was dominant despite having the use of only one arm. Charlotte got some offense in, but it was Rousey who locked Deville up in an armbar while Flair watched on.

Jim's Thoughts

This match was more about setting up Flair vs. Rousey at WrestleMania than anything else. The image of Charlotte standing on the apron and watching her partner suffer simply because she didn't want to get in the ring with Rousey is the build this rivalry needed. Flair seems to be intimidated despite being as good as she is and that's the angle WWE will probably build upon in the coming weeks.

Winner: Madcap Moss

Drew McIntyre picked up the win in a Falls Count Anywhere match over Madcap Moss, but Moss walks away from the match as the real winner here because he took a nasty bump when he landed directly on his head. Fortunately, he was able to continue the match and he didn't seem phased by what could have been a terrifying misstep and awful result.

Winner: Lynch vs. Lita

In a match where Lita should have been out of her element, Lita took Big Time Becky Lynch to the brink of her ability. Landing a Twist of Fate and then a moonsault, Lynch barely kicked out at the end of the bout. Lynch was able to hit a second man-handle slam for the win, barely hanging onto her Raw Women's Championship. Lita sat in the ring afterward, emotional about the loss, but the crowd showed their appreciation for her efforts. She climbed back into the ring for another moment with the audience and celebrated with the fans.

Jim's Thoughts

Outside a couple of early moments of hesitation by Lita (chalk it up to a bit of ring rust) as Lita got going, the match got better and better. Lynch and Lita worked a solid bout that lasted longer than any singles match to that point in the show. It was worthy of the extra time and this bodes well if Lita is going to have more matches in her final run. Lynch is fantastic and helped get Lita through the early stages of the match, then sold like crazy for the WWE Hall of Famer. The finish was fantastic as there really was a moment where it looked like Lita was going to pull off the upset win.

Loser: SmackDown Tag Match Canceled

For some reason, WWE decided not to hold the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match. The Viking Raiders were attacked ahead of the match by The Usos and to the point where Erik and Ivar apparently couldn't compete. It's a strange decision to bring those guys all the way to Jeddah only to not have them wrestle. Was there an injury? Was WWE worried about running out of time? Is there another team expected to show up and face the Usos? Something must have been up because the Viking Raiders won their way to this match.

Loser: Lesnar Wins Title, Runs Through Chamber Participants

Brock Lesnar is the new WWE Champion and WrestleMania will feature a title vs. title match between him and Roman Reigns. Lesnar was able to defeat the field of Elimination Chamber participants one by one until removing Austin Theory from the equation with an F5 off the top of a pod. Lashley was unable to compete after Seth Rollins threw Theory through a chamber pod wall and knocked the champion silly. Lashley not returning meant Lesnar was free to take the title if he defeated everyone else.

Jim's Thoughts

Having Lesnar win here is not a surprise. The way he won is. Lashley not being in the match was probably done to protect him from being a victim to Lesnar like everyone else was, but this was a bad way of removing him from the equation just to get WWE in a position to hold a title vs. title match. He and MVP can argue that Lesnar didn't enter at the right time and as such he should get a rematch. They can also argue he didn't "lose" the title. There are options here, but this bout was a disappointment considering it was one big showcase for Lesnar and at the expense of everyone else.
