The rivalry between Stone Cold and The Undertaker culminated at Backlash 2002. The stakes were high, and the winner challenged the WWE Champion at Judgment Day. Nonetheless, there was a caveat as Ric Flair was the special guest referee.
Austin and The Undertaker had countless battles throughout their careers, and this was by far one of the worst matches in their feud. The match was slow and methodical, and they almost went half an hour. Ultimately, The Undertaker prevailed, although Austin's foot was on the rope.
9 Stone Cold Vs. Kurt Angle Vs. The Rock Vs. Rikishi - Rebellion 2000
Stone Cold was popular wherever he went, and fans in Sheffield, England were in awe to see him in their presence. At Rebellion 2000, Kurt Angle defended the WWE Championship in a fatal four-way match against Austin, The Rock, and Rikishi.
Surprisingly, the match lasted under nine minutes but it was still an enthralling contest. All hell broke loose with the action spilling onto the outside. Of course, there wasn't going to be a clean finish as the likes of Edge, Christian, and the Radicalz got involved in the proceedings. Nonetheless, Austin and Rock were protected, and Rikishi took the fall with Angle retaining the WWE Championship.
8 Stone Cold & The Undertaker Vs. Mankind & Kane Vs. The New Age Outlaws Vs. The Nation - Raw (8/10/98)
Before Stone Cold and The Undertaker could shift their attention toward their WWE Championship match at SummerSlam 1998, they had to work as a cohesive unit in their WWE Tag Team Championship defense. Mankind and Kane, the New Age Outlaws, and the Nation's Intercontinental Champion The Rock and European Champion D'Lo Brown were their challengers.
This is a forgotten fatal four-way WWE Tag Team Championship match with some iconic legends in action. The match was brilliant with all four teams looking strong. A Chokeslam from Kane on The Undertaker was enough for Mankind and Kane to recapture the WWE Tag Team Titles.
7 Stone Cold Vs. Ken Shamrock - Raw (9/14/98)
Mr. McMahon did everything in his power to halt Stone Cold's WWE Championship reign. The Texas Rattlesnake had a stern test in his latest WWE Title match against Ken Shamrock on the September 14, 1998, edition of Raw.

The World's Most Dangerous Man was presented with an opportunity of a lifetime. Shamrock looked strong here, and he kept up with Austin every step of the way. There was no clear-cut winner with The Undertaker and Kane bringing a halt to proceedings by attacking both men.
6 The Two-Man Power Trip & Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley Vs. The Hardy Boyz & Lita (4/9/01)
The Hardy Boyz stood up to the Two-Man Power Trip comprised of WWE Champion Stone Cold and Intercontinental Champion Triple H. In the main event on the April 9, 2001, edition of Raw, there was a six-person tag team match with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley on the Two-Man Power Trip's side, and Lita teaming up with the Hardys.
The atmosphere was electric, and seeing Stone Cold and Triple H on the same side was brilliant. The battle spilled onto the outside, and Stephanie was no match for Lita as she finished off Stephanie with the Twist of Fate for the win. What happened afterward was disgusting with the Two-Man Power Trip savagely assaulting Lita with a steel chair.
5 Stone Cold & Mankind Vs. The Rock & Paul Wight - Raw (3/15/99)
WrestleMania 15 was approaching, and the main event scene was red-hot. Stone Cold and Mankind collided with the Corporation's WWE Champion The Rock and Paul Wight. The Corporation tried to get the upper hand with The Rock and Wight fighting Mankind before Austin made his way down the aisle.
The crowd went berserk when Austin made his way to the ring. It's easy to forget this match taking place, but it was a decent contest. Stone Cold and The Rock set the tone perfectly for their upcoming WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 15. There didn't need to be a winner and Stone Cold drove The Rock through broadcast table.
4 Stone Cold Vs. Big Boss Man - Survivor Series 1998
Stone Cold was a man on a mission at Survivor Series 1998 as he entered the Deadly Game tournament in a bid to recapture his WWE Championship. Austin faced off with the Corporation's Head of Security, Big Boss Man in the first round.

Austin and Boss Man clashed in the aisle before the match finally got underway in the ring. Boss Man wasn't assigned to win the WWE Championship, it was to inflict pain on Austin, and he did that with his nightstick.
3 Stone Cold & Dude Love Vs. Owen Hart & The British Bulldog - Raw (7/14/97)
On the July 14, 1997, edition of Raw, the Hart Foundation's Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart and European Champion the British Bulldog were looking to add some more silverware to the Hart Foundation. The brothers-in-law collided with Stone Cold and Dude Love, who was Austin's mystery partner.
The Hart Foundation decimated Austin with ease until Dude Love joined in the later stages of the match. However, the referee didn't see Austin planting Bulldog with the Stunner, and Dude Love covered Bulldog to secure the WWE Tag Team Championship for the unlikely duo.
2 Stone Cold Vs. Kane - Raw (3/1/99)
Kane had a decent record against Stone Cold as he beat Austin for the WWE Championship in a First Blood match at King of the Ring 1998. However, Stone Cold and Kane collided on the March 1, 1999, edition of Raw, and there were high stakes.
The Big Red Machine had to beat Austin to keep his spot in the Corporation. This bout is forgotten about, but Kane gave a good account of himself against Austin. The match went back and forth, but there was no clear-cut winner with the match being thrown as a no contest.

The reigning WWE Tag Team Champions Steve Austin and Triple H had a stranglehold on the WWE and Intercontinental Championship. Across the pond at Insurrextion 2001, the Two-Man Power Trip was on a collision course with The Undertaker in a handicap match.
Stone Cold's WWE Championship was on the line, butThe Undertaker had to pin Austin to recapture the WWE Title. The action was enthralling, and fans were heavily involved in the affair. Austin's knee brace caught The Undertaker's ear, and blood gushed. Nevertheless, The Undertaker prevailed but as per the stipulations, but since he pinned Triple H, Austin had the last laugh as he remained WWE Champion.
