In an interview with The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast, Low Ki, who is currently signed to MLW, recalled his time at WWE, when he performed from 2008 to 2010 as Kaval. The 41-year-old wrestler says that WWE’s top execs were intimidated by his independence.

"They're scared. Why? Because they didn't make me. Why? Because I'm groomed the old-fashioned way. I gained my experience. I'm a journeyman, and on top of that, I perform at a higher level than those guys even think,” he says.

The former PWG World Champion, inaugural ROH World Champion, MLW World Heavyweight Champion and three-time NWA World Tag Team Champion won the second season of NXT on August 31, 2010. After his victory, he was moved to SmackDown, where he made his debut on September 10, losing to Drew McIntyre. On his final appearance in WWE, he lost to McIntyre on December 21 and was released from his contract on December 23.

Low Ki doesn’t believe his experience is unique. "Everyone who has left that company, how many of them speak positively? So I keep saying the same thing. I'm ten years removed. You still have the same people in charge. So why do you think the same behaviors are occurring? So why do you think the same arguments are being made? Am I outspoken? I'm not outspoken, I'm honest,” he says.

Following stints at NJPW, TNS, AJPW and Impact, Low Ki debuted in MLW in 2018 as a heel. On the July 20, 2018, episode of Fusion, he defeated Shane Strickland to win the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. After several wins, he successfully defended his championship on November 10 against Daga. He held the title 205 days, losing it to Tom Lawlor at SuperFight on February 2, 2019.

Low Ki has been announced as part of the MLW roster that will part of the promotion’s relaunch after their hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He says he hopes to take on ACH, who also worked for WWE in the NXT brand under the ring name Jordan Myles. The 33-year-old wrestler left WWE on November 13, 2019, after posting a video in which he stated that he "refused to work for racists."
