Some wrestlers have trouble landing future employment after being released by WWE. Others have promotions eager to hire them and ready to go with a contract offer once the non-compete clause expires. Put Isaiah "Swerve" Scott Swerve in the latter group.
According to Fightful Select (h/t Domenic Marinelli of Ringside News), "many of the major wrestling promotions" are already talking about the prospect of adding Scott and pitching an offer to him after he's free and clear to sign. This all comes less than 48 hours after news he was among the most recent budget cuts in WWE and part of the Hit Row faction that was released this week.
Among the companies rumored to have an interest are AEW, Impact Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and MLW among others. The thought is that Scott has a 90-day non-compete clause which could put him appearing for a different promotion. This means he'd be ready to roll by the middle of February 2022.
Scott sign with WWE in 2019, but before joining the NXT brand, had wrestled for multiple companies. He went by the name Shane Strickland in most of the places he wrestled and he's held heavyweight titles in both MLW, CZW and Evolve. He made a name for himself on the independent wrestling scene and was considered a talent with a high ceiling when hired by WWE. Ironically, recent reports suggest WWE viewed Top Dolla as the star of Hit Row and deemed Scott expendable when the company decided to move on from Top Dolla after a series of incidences that might have garnered him some backstage heat.

Scott Offers A Lot To Whoever Signs Him
It's not a surprise that companies would be keenly interested in hiring Scott. He offers excellent in-ring skills which is right up AEW's alley. He can also work a mic which is important to draw in audiences and he's worked multiple styles.
WWE might regret letting him go and it will be a big win for whichever company lands him.
