New SmackDown announcer Pat McAfee has fit like a glove on the blue brand. Just three weeks into his run as one-half of the announce team, he's getting praise from some pretty significant people in some pretty high places.

McAfee posted a video on his YouTube channel of his busy week, including his covering the NFL Draft and then working Daniel Bryan's last SmackDown show. He noted that it was an incredibly long stretch but that he's super stoked WWE is loving the job he's doing so far.

His broadcast partner Michael Cole told him after Friday's show that the speed in which he was picking up the craft was incredible. McAfee is nailing elements of the job that often take months, if not years for others to get good at.

As if that wasn't enough, McAfee said Triple H and Stephanie McMahon came up to him and complimented his work so far. McAfee said:

“Mr H (Triple H), he walked over to me and congratulated me. He told me it was really cool to see. His wife, Stephanie McMahon was there. And… and… and… on camera, we got it, I talked to Vince McMahon, who said he’s enjoying working with me. Success all around baby!”

The Ultimate Compliment Came From Vince

While McAfee was talking to Triple H and Stephanie, Vince walked up to him and told him he was doing a good job and shook his hand. He said that made his day and is holding a contest for his YouTube channel followers to guess what he was thinking at the time Vince walked up to him.

Cole said after McAfee and Vince chatted: “24 years I’ve been here, never have had the boss come up to me after the show, shake my hand, tell me I did a great job. This guy (McAfee) has been here for three weeks.”
