It has been 14 years since Rated RKO came to the ring dressed as D-Generation X in what might be one of the most underrated parodies in wrestling history.

Edge returned during this year's men's Royal Rumble match in what was one of the greatest surprises in wrestling history. That moment feels as if it happened a lifetime ago as not only has the world been plunged into a pandemic since then, but The Rated R Superstar has been on the sidelines with a fresh injury.

Before heading home to recover, Edge was embroiled in a fierce rivalry with Randy Orton. The two of them competed in a brutal Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania, and then again in The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever at Backlash. It was during that second match that Edge suffered the injury that would render him unable to compete.

Before Edge and Orton were bitter rivals, they were good friends and even Tag Team Champions. In 2006, the two of them formed Rated RKO and began to feud with Triple H and Shawn Michaels who were once again wrestling as D-Generation X. As well as some terrific matches between the two teams, Rated RKO also parodied their opponents during an oft-forgotten segment on Raw.

DX's music begins to play and it soon becomes clear that it isn't the real team making its way to the ring. It's actually Edge dressed as The Game, and Orton dressed as HBK. The piece de resistance of the whole garb? The fake nose Edge is sporting. Proof that The Cerebral Assassin is more open to wrestlers poking fun at him on-screen than many would give him credit for.

Orton proceeds to collapse on two occasions during the entrance, clutching his back as he falls. A reference to the back injury Michaels suffered during the Attitude Era that appeared to have ended his career at the time. Rated RKO also backed up their mockery between the ropes, handing DX their first defeat since they reunited following Michaels' return to the ring.
