Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder have wasted no time preparing for life after WWE. They have revealed their new names and may have hinted at what their new team name will be.
There have been multiple sagas involving WWE Superstars wanting out of their contracts since AEW arrived on the scene. However, there is none that has dragged on longer than The Revival's. Finally, after months of teasing and rumors, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were both granted a release from their contracts by WWE.
The assumption is that Dash and Dawson will eventually show up in AEW. It's just a question of when that happens. If the pair had 90-day non-compete clauses in their WWE contracts, fans will have to wait a while before seeing them perform again as they did with Brodie Lee. If there was no such clause in their contracts, they might show up right away like Matt Hardy.

One thing that The Revival and Lee will definitely have in common is a name change. Dash and Dawson have already revealed that they can't, or don't want to, keep their WWE names on social media. Dawson has changed his name to Dax Harwood, and Wilder is now going by Cash Wheeler. The new names are closer to their real-life names David Harwood and Daniel Wheeler.
Harwood and Wheeler (that's going to take some getting used to) have also hinted at what their new team name will be. The pair filed a number of trademarks, one of which was for "Top Guys". It was a nickname in WWE, but it would make sense for them to use it as their new team name wherever they end up next. Sort of like when The Dudley Boyz went by Team 3D outside of WWE.
Other trademarks filed by the pair would suggest they'll be trying to keep their act as close to what they did in WWE as possible. The terms Shatter Machine, No Flips Just Fists, and #FTRKO will also be coming with them. Whatever they do next, we had better be on the cusp of a Young Bucks versus The Revival (sorry, Top Guys) match.
