Daniel Bryan's meteoric rise to the top commenced in 2014 when he established his name from a B+ player to the main event Superstar. Bryan's Yes Movement and the performance at WrestleMania 30 changed the course of his career. WWE, however, was rumored to have a different plan for Bryan.

As Batista won the Royal Rumble match, he was set to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton. On the other hand, Bryan was originally scheduled to fight Sheamus. 8 Roman Reigns Was Going To Retire The Undertaker

7 Goldberg Was Set To Win The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle At WrestleMania 34

Andre the Giant memorial battle, the battle royal match, has become a signature match at the Grandest Stage of Them All since it's introduction a couple of years ago. An interesting rumor was roaming for the Battle Royal match at WrestleMania 34.

Matt Hardy was the winner of Andre the Giant Battle Royal match at WrestleMania 34, but the rumored winner was different. A rumor was floating that Goldberg could come back and win the Battle Royal match, although it never came to fruition. Goldberg, however, would continue to appear occasionally in the WWE's events.

6 Roman Reigns Was Going To Stop The Fiend At WrestleMania 36

The Fiend experienced his first defeat at Super ShowDown, losing to Goldberg within a couple of minutes. Even though a preponderance of fans were expecting to see The Fiend as the champion till WrestleMania 36, it didn't happen.

The rumor was that the original plan was to have a match between Roman Reigns and The Fiend at WrestleMania 36. Nevertheless, WWE altered their plan, as Goldberg was the one to stop The Fiend and the former will take on Roman Reigns instead.

5 Brock Lesnar Was To Retain The WWE Championship At WrestleMania 31

As the holder of WWE Championship, Brock Lesnar put his title on the line at WrestleMania 31, where he fought Roman Reigns in the main event of the night. The main event saw a huge twist, as Seth Rollins, then the Money in the Bank winner, cashed in the briefcase and made it a triple threat match. After pinning Roman Reigns, Rollins won his first WWE Championship at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

4 Roman Reigns Was Set To Turn Heel At WrestleMania 32

3 The Undertaker Was Done With WrestleMania

1 Justin Bieber Was The Host Of WrestleMania 27

Being the biggest carnival of professional wrestling, WrestleMania brings in several mainstream names for one night. Whether professional athletes from other fields or big names from the entertainment world, WWE leaves no stone unturned to make WrestleMania exciting.

In fact at one point, Justin Bieber was rumored to be the host of WrestleMania 27, which could have been a great move.
