The art of the entrance is a huge part of the act when a wrestler works for WWE. Names like The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and The Shield have created memorable entrances that helped them all become bigger stars. Great entrances provide an important layer for the pageantry of the show. Unfortunately, an entrance gone wrong can cause more issues as well.

We will look at some of the most amusing botches during a wrestler’s entrance. Anything from tripping to the stage to falling down to just making a fool of one’s self would qualify as a botch. Most wrestlers rebound to have great matches, but some just couldn’t escape the moment. Find out just what made these moments so memorable. The following WWE botches all occurred during the entrances before the match even started.
10 Batista
The WrestleMania 35 match between Triple H and Batista was the ideal final match of Batista’s wrestling career. It went as well as it could have and allowed the legend to end this chapter of his life on his own terms before continuing his acting career.

Batista however did have one embarrassing moment at the biggest show of the year. The entrance into the ring saw him trip on his legs before catching his balance. Despite playing a heel, Batista had a nice laugh since there was nothing else one can do in that situation.
9 Titus O’Neil
Batista’s close friend Titus O’Neil had one of the most memorable entrance botches in wrestling history. O’Neil was a bit too excited when sprinting to the ring for the Greatest Royal Rumble match at the debut WWE show in Saudi Arabia.
The running down the long ramp ended with Titus tripping and his momentum forcing him to slide under the ring. It was the kind of botch too entertaining for anyone to plan out. Daniel Bryan and other wrestlers revealed O’Neil delivered tougher punches than usual out of frustration for everyone laughing at him.
8 Ultimo Dragon
Ultimo Dragon had a terrible run in WWE as a poor fit for both sides. WWE barely gave him a chance upon seeing a few weaknesses they felt were too big. Dragon signed with WWE in 2003 a little after Rey Mysterio became a massive success.
WWE wanted to see if other masked cruiserweights from WCW would have the same appeal as Mysterio. Dragon didn’t work out, and his top WWE memory is not a good one. WrestleMania 20 saw Dragon slipping on the stage when making his way to the ring for a cruiserweight gauntlet match.
7 The Revival
Smackdown had a memorable botch during a ring entrance at the end of 2019. The Revival made their way to the ring during their build for a Ladder match against New Day at the following PPV. However, the battle that fans took note of was Dash Wilder vs the stage.
Wilder was still getting used to the relatively new Smackdown set design and tripped on his way to the ring. The fall to the floor saw him laughing when getting up and continuing on his walk to the ring. Given the rumors of The Revival leaving WWE in a few months, this may have been their final memorable moment on WWE television.
6 Paul London
Paul London had one of the most underrated entrances both on his own and with tag team partner Brian Kendrick. The innovative entrance saw London sprinting to the ring and sliding at full speed to build up the energy for his match.
One instance did end with London getting a bit too overzealous. The speed was apparently faster than usual as London not only slid into the ring, but his momentum landed him all the way to the other side of the ring before sliding out.
5 Goldberg
The botch of Goldberg’s entrance in WWE more serious than some of the other funnier moments. Goldberg loved to bash his head against the locker room door as hard as possible before making his way to the ring for WCW matches.

The tradition remained part of his game during his 2016 WWE return. Goldberg struggled to cut a promo in the ring the night it was later revealed he suffered a concussion. The decision to hit his head into the wall clearly was foolish and botched his entire entrance and appearance. Roman Reigns recently posted a message on social media mocking Goldberg for the incident.
4 Melina
The memorable entrance of Melina allowed her to get it over as a unique difference to everyone else on the roster. Melina did a full split on the ring apron whether wrestling singles matches in the women’s division or managing the MNM tag team.
One night saw the split lead to an embarrassing entrance for Melina. The small spacing of the ring apron saw her split when executing the entrance she did hundreds of times before. Melina tried to just roll back into the ring and continue in character to not get rattled.
3 Sin Cara
Mexican wrestling legend Mistico signed with WWE to play the new luchador character Sin Cara. This was the first major signing made by Triple H, and a huge push was planned for him. Sin Cara received weeks of vignettes and a press conference to hype up his debut.
The entrance of Sin Cara saw him having to jump on a trampoline off-camera to leap over the top rope and land into the ring. Sin Cara’s debut saw things get off to a poor start where he tripped on the ropes and barely made it in the ring as a weak first impression. The in-ring botches ended up hurting his career before he was replaced under the mask.
2 Matt Hardy
Matt Hardy has a reputation for being a professional to work with, but he wasn’t even above embarrassing botches. One memorable moment saw Hardy coming to the ring with his season one NXT protégé Justin Gabriel.
The botch comes when Hardy stands on the ropes to deliver his pose before falling over and landing outside of the ring. Matt is lucky that social media wasn’t as popular at the time. A botch like this would go viral if it happened today.
1 The Undertaker
One of the worst botches in wrestling history saw The Undertaker in danger during an entrance. Elimination Chamber 2010 saw Undertaker making his way to the ring with the elaborate entrance, but he basically caught fire with one of the flames going off in the wrong spot.
Undertaker handled it without tipping most fans off as he took off the jacket and walked faster towards the ring. Despite looking visibly impacted by it early in the match, Undertaker wrestled the long match and did a great job. WWE fired the technician responsible for the scary botch.
