Despite initially retiring from in-ring competition in 2011, Trish Stratus has been one of many female WWE Superstars to return to the company since the start of the women's revolution. Taking the chance to experience an entirely new era of women's wrestling that they laid the foundation for, what started as the odd match here and there turned into a full-time run for Stratus this year that included a marquee match at WrestleMania and a long-running rivalry with Becky Lynch.
The Wrestling Future Of Trish Stratus
That run came to an end last month inside of a steel cage at Payback. Even though a follow-up rivalry with her protege Zoey Stark was teased in the aftermath of that defeat, Stratus has been absent ever since, suggesting her latest run with WWE may have reached its conclusion. Stratus was asked whether that's the case during a Q&A at Big Texas Comic Con (via WrestleZone).

"I’ve been asked by people here, ‘Are you coming back? Do you want to do another run?’ But this is the thing, I’m like, the boxes it has to check," Stratus explained. "What is the creative? What am I going to come back and do?... I always turn it back to people and go, ‘I might go back but who should I face?’ Tell me, I wanna know." Stratus was also asked if fans might see her wrestle elsewhere, to which she replied "probably not".
Who's Left For Trish?
It's interesting that Stratus claims she'd be interested in wrestling some more if the creative is right when it seemed as if the creative was there for her to carry on after the Lynch program so she could move straight into one with Stark. Perhaps Stratus wanted some time off before getting right into something else having just gone on the longest run by quite some way since she retired more than a decade ago. If so, hopefully she will pick things back up with Stark in the future.
My guess is not only does Stratus want a little break before getting into anything else, but she's also only interested in wrestling the big names she previously missed out on because their eras didn't overlap until now. She's wrestled Lynch and Charlotte Flair, perhaps her next feud will be against someone like Bayley, Asuka, or maybe even WWE's newest arrival, Jade Cargill once she has a little more experience under her belt.
