WWE has begun its long journey on the road to WrestleMania 39, which kicked off with the Royal Rumble event this past weekend. The annual event was the sight of shocks and surprises, capped off by the ultimate betrayal of Sami Zayn. The now-former 'Honorary Uce' made his choice clear and smashed the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns with a steel chair. This came after he refused to attack his best friend Kevin Owens following their epic encounter in the main event and effectively ending his association with The Bloodline.
However, the night began in spectacular fashion as The American Nightmare made his long-awaited comeback to WWE after being on the shelf for nearly seven months. Cody Rhodes entered the Men's Royal Rumble match and displayed straight-fire athleticism with no signs of ring rust. The son of Dusty Rhodes claimed his destiny and tossed out Gunther, in the end, to win the 30-man over-the-top-rope-melee and punch his ticket for a World Championship match in the main event of WrestleMania 39.
While Cody Rhodes was recuperating from injury, Sami Zayn became a massive fan favorite for his exceptional works as the Honorary Uce of The Bloodline. Moreover, there was a belief floating around of a fan backlash should Cody win the Rumble match instead of Sami. The WWE Universe is in the firm belief that Zayn should be slated for a major spot at WrestleMania, considering his months of work and meteoric rise as a fan favorite.

The Showcase of The Immortals Is The Stage To Establish Sami Zayn & Cody Rhodes
With the Royal Rumble event officially in the books, Cody Rhodes has full support from the fans as he marches forwards to finish his story and dethrone Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship. On the other hand, Sami Zayn's shocking betrayal has everyone buzzing about where he stands as WrestleMania is on the horizon.
The scenario itself is an opportunity for WWE to cement the legacies of both Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes as legitimate top stars at the Grandest Stage of them all. But it would come at the expense of the most dominant World champion of the modern era, The Head of the Table Roman Reigns, while also preserving his two-year reign of dominance as the face of the company.
WrestleMania 39 Night 1 Should Be Roman Reigns Vs Sami Zayn For The WWE Universal Championship
The decimation of Sami Zayn at the hands of the Bloodline could very well see retaliation from him. The former WWE Intercontinental champion could join forces with Kevin Owens and perhaps even Cody Rhodes with a common enemy in sight. Moreover, WWE has shown signs of splitting unified championships in the past few weeks regarding The Usos defending the RAW and SmackDown tag team titles separately.
Triple H and could finally pull the trigger and announce that Roman Reigns will have not one, but two main event matches for Mania, defending both World championships separately. This could see the crowd favorite Sami Zayn enter the world title picture and earn himself a shot at the WWE Universal championship under the bright lights of Hollywood at WrestleMania.
The day of the main event could perhaps see Sami Zayn go in alone with the Bloodline destroying Kevin Owens right before the match. Despite putting in his best effort alongside the massive support of the WWE Universe at So-Fi stadium, Sami Zayn would fall prey to the numbers game and fury of The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, losing the biggest match of his life. This would keep Roman Reigns' lengthy title reign intact and boost his confidence to dismantle Cody Rhodes the same way on the next night.

WrestleMania 39 Night 2 Works Best If It's Roman Reigns Vs Cody Rhodes For The WWE Championship
Witnessing the shattering of Sami Zayn's dreams would prove to be a motivating factor for Cody Rhodes as he enters the ring on Night 2 of WrestleMania 39 for his match against Roman Reigns. Meanwhile, The Bloodline once again walks down its Tribal Chief for his second main-event match at The Show of Shows looking to dispatch The American Nightmare back to obscurity.
The massive back and forth goes on between two of the biggest stars in the industry as the fans are firmly in support of Cody Rhodes. However, Rhodes also finds himself surrounded by the numbers games that have protected Roman Reigns and his title reign so far. But the decisive factor would come at the closing moments, as Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens emerge to even the odds for Cody Rhodes and fend off The Bloodline.
Moreover, the all-out brawl could lead to Cody Rhodes striking at the perfect opportunity and hitting Roman Reigns with Cross Rhodes to pin his shoulders to the mat. With the count of three, the WWE Universe would erupt as the Undeniable would no longer be Uncrowned. Cody Rhodes would close out WrestleMania, winning the WWE championship for the fans, his family, and his legendary father, the late Dusty Rhodes, who had desired to win the championship during his heyday.
With Cody Rhodes as a top champion, Sami Zayn main eventing WrestleMania, and Roman Reigns' dominant reign as champion still intact, the night after WrestleMania 39 would mark the beginning of a new era in the WWE landscape.
