Hulk Hogan has defeated a great deal of other wrestling legends in his life, and he even pummeled Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Balboa character in the third installment of the legendary film series.
However, Hogan and Stallone (who obviously chose a Hollywood career instead of a life in the ring), never got to faced off in a WWE ring, nor did the two celebrities ever engage in a real-life fist fight.
Nonetheless, The Hulkster told TMZ Sports that he'd beat Stallone in a fight.
“Look at him fishing, trying to come up with something. He’s trying to catch a Stallone fish,” the WWE Hall of Famer said. “Yeah, Stallone’s a strong guy — what do you think I’m going to say? Brother, come on. Come on, brother.”
Hogan portrayed the villainous "Thunderlips," character in Rocky III, decimating Stallone's character during a charity fight. Obviously, that was the only time we saw these men step in a ring together.
Stallone, 71, is seven years older than Hogan - and the latter has kept his body in tremendous shape. Consider all of that, and it's tough to see how the fictional boxing legend in Rocky would beat The Hulkster in a real fight.
The Hulkster has been rumored to being near a WWE return, which TMZ Sports also reported is close to happening. Whether or not the soon-to-be 65-year-old wrestles another match remains to be seen, however, or if he'd simply return in a backstage/ambassador role.
Hogan was fired from the WWE in 2015 following the release of audio tapes where he used racial slurs. Though he's apologized many times and has expressed a desire to return to the squared circle, WWE has yet to forgive the wrestling icon for his actions.
But if recent reports are an indication of anything, Hogan will be back on the WWE very near. The only question is when, and what kind of role he would have for the company.
