WWE is reportedly pondering the idea of running one pay-per-view show in the United Kingdom each year going forward.
The company performed Clash at the Castle 2022 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales back on Sept. 3. This was the first WWE stadium pay-per-view to run in the UK since SummerSlam 1992. Clash at the Castle also marked the first WWE PPV to take in the UK since Insurrextion 2003.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Dave Meltzer reported that plenty of pay-pe-view changes are "rumored for 2023". Meltzer added that this could "include the idea of doing one PPV per year from the U.K. to go along with the two from Saudi Arabia."
Clash at the Castle 2022 had a reported attendance of 62,296 fans. The show itself was also generally well-received among the WWE Universe and pundits. The main event saw Drew McIntyre fall just short in dethroning Roman Reigns as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

The final four scheduled WWE pay-per-views for 2022 are tonight's NXT Halloween Havoc event, Crown Jewel on Nov. 5, Survivor Series and NXT Deadline. Day 1 was supposed to be the first WWE PPV of 2023, but it was reported last week that the event has been canceled. WWE has not made an announcement on the status of Day 1, which was set to run on Jan. 1 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

We still don't know for sure yet if Day 1 is still happening, or if WWE is canceling it altogether. For now, we have two confirmed dates and locations for WWE pay-per-views in 2023. The Royal Rumble will run at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 28 and WrestleMania 39 on Apr. 1-2 weekend at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Given the success of Clash at the Castle, it'd certainly be a smart business call for WWE to run a pay-per-view annually in the UK. The fans at Principality Stadium provided an awesome atmosphere on Sept. 3, and they unquestionably deserve more pay-per-views there.
