WWE is reportedly using Robert Roode to teach Veer Mahaan.
Mahaan is finally wrestling for the company after months of them hyping him up, with their vignette even becoming a meme as they aired it on countless occasions. “Veer is coming” just became a joke after a while.

Now that Veer is here, WWE has been booking him as a strong heel, and he’s been destroying opponents - Rey and Dominik Mysterio are two of his notable victims, while Mustafa Ali has also tasted his wrath.
Robert The Mentor
Mahaan got a win over Roode at a house show in Rapid City, South Dakota on June 18. According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, this was done because WWE has specifically picked Roode to work with Mahaan so he could be his teacher.
Meltzer noted that WWE views Mahaan as someone who could be a good mentor for the former baseball player.
“They [WWE] are doing this match on all the house shows event though both are heels, basically with the idea of Roode being able to be a good teacher for Mahaan,” the insider wrote.
It appears WWE thinks quite highly of Roode as previous reports note he had been paired up with Omos for the same reason. The veteran had been off TV since April but he and Dolph Ziggler returned a few weeks ago to confront the towering star and his new facilitator MVP. They’ve since gone off TV again, however.
