WWE veteran and Hall of Famer Goldberg is stirring the pot with Bobby Lashley amid the possibility of a title match between them. Lashley is riding a wave at the moment, with the Almighty Era in full swing, but he could have his hands full with Goldberg soon enough.

The 54-year-old made his return to WWE TV during last week's Raw and issued a challenge to the WWE Champion. While the match hasn't been officially announced, the pair of imposing figures could clash at SummerSlam in August.

Goldberg discussed the upcoming match during an appearance on the CarCast show and accused Lashley of copying his move for 10 years. He also spoke about Lashley's use of the Jackhammer on Raw this past Monday, adding he will be ready to take the title off the champ as he has eight weeks to prepare.

"Like I said, the guy’s [Bobby Lashley] been spearing people for ten years, trying to copy my move," he said, per Post Wrestling. "Now the other night he does the Jackhammer on TV and I just don’t understand why these guys make me come out of retirement to teach ‘em a little respect so, this time they gave me eight weeks so Lashley’s gonna be pissed off about that one because I’ll be doubly ready this time."

Could Lashley Lose His Title To Goldberg?

It remains to be seen as to whether Goldberg will be allowed to dethrone Lashley at SummerSlam. He's no stranger to making a grand return and then making an exit in possession of a championship belt.  His short match vs Brock Lesnar won't soon be forgotten and he's made returns prior to similar outcomes in recent years, doing so against Kevin Owens in 2017 and then against Bray Wyatt last year.

The WWE Universe is mostly against this and our Alex Hoegler has outlined reasons WWE should not even consider having Goldberg beat Lashley.

The reactions to his comeback haven't been very positive and it would probably be in WWE's best interest to have Lashley carry on as champion after SummerSlam.
